Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah today addressed the appointment letter distribution ceremony for newly recruited constables of the Rajasthan Police in Jaipur. Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Bhajan Lal Sharma and several senior officials were present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Shah said the day was of great significance for Rajasthan’s law and order system, as more than 8,000 young recruits formally joined the Rajasthan Police. He noted that nearly one-third of the new recruits are women, calling it a matter of pride and a reflection of increasing participation of women in policing. He said these young constables would dedicate their lives to ensuring public safety and strengthening the vision of a secure Rajasthan, bringing renewed hope to thousands of families.
The Union Home Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Rajasthan has emerged as one of the country’s leading investment destinations. He emphasized that the recruitment of police personnel strictly on the basis of merit, without expenditure or recommendations, reflects the Modi government’s zero-tolerance policy against corruption. He added that only by respecting merit can a state progress, and the Rajasthan government has successfully implemented this development model.
