The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has issued an order dated January 2, 2026, under Section 27 of the Competition Act, 2002, directing Ludhiana-based firms M/s KKK Mills and M/s Sankeshwar Synthetics Private Limited to "cease and desist" from anti-competitive conduct. The firms were found to be in violation of Section 3(1) read with Section 3(3)(d) of the Act.
Background of the Case:
The proceedings were initiated based on a reference filed under Section 19(1)(b) of the Act by the CP Cell, Master General of Ordnance Branch, Directorate General of Ordnance Services. The reference alleged that KKK Mills and Sankeshwar Synthetics entered into a collusive agreement to rig bids in a tender for the procurement of "Underpants Woollen."
