Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that during Simhastha 2028, the ghats of Shipra, developed over a stretch of more than 30 kilometers, will provide devotees the opportunity for a sacred holy bath. The availability of clean waters of Maa Shipra will make the event even more divine and spiritually enriching. After nearly six decades, devotees will once again be able to participate in Simhastha and take a holy dip solely in the naturally flowing waters of Maa Shipra.
During the previous Simhastha in 2016, devotees had the facility of bathing with water brought from Maa Narmada, yet many expressed their wish to see the Shipra flowing completely with its own waters for the holy bath. To fulfill the aspirations of devotees, the state government has made all necessary arrangements. With the blessings of Baba Mahakal and revered saints, Simhastha 2028 will be made a memorable and grand event, setting new benchmarks in its organization.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the concluding ceremony of the Shipra Teerth Parikrama. He said that the blessings of Maa Shipra were evident in the extraordinary scenes witnessed during the ceremony. The illuminated rows of lamps created an atmosphere resembling the festival of दीपावली. He prayed for success and glory for all. The ghats of Shipra from Triveni to Siddhnath are considered sacred, and several projects related to Simhastha are currently underway to make the event more convenient and comfortable for devotees.
India’s Great Tradition of Harmony and Togetherness
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is witnessing both development and preservation of heritage. Recent judicial decisions also reflect what he described as a “golden era” of governance and compliance with constitutional values. Citizens across the country are demonstrating trust, cooperation, and harmony in accepting these decisions. He noted that during the Bhoomi Pujan and inauguration of the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, even those individuals who had fought legal battles regarding the temple for years participated in the ceremonies, reflecting India’s outstanding tradition of unity and mutual respect.
Raja Bhoj’s Connection from Ujjain to Bhopal
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Raja Bhoj shares a historical connection from Ujjain to Bhopal. He added that an idol of Maa Vagdevi will be installed at the Bhojshala in Dhar, a path that has been cleared following the court’s decision. He remarked that Prime Minister Modi’s tenure reminds one of the era of Emperor Vikramaditya, where the welfare of every citizen remained paramount.
Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted that the Madhya Pradesh government has been running the Jal Ganga Sanvardhan Abhiyan for over three months, focusing on the conservation and rejuvenation of wells, ponds, rivers, reservoirs, and other water structures. Public participation has also been encouraged in the campaign. Madhya Pradesh has emerged as a leading state in implementing river-linking initiatives.
