The Hindi Academy, Delhi has announced a publication grant for the book “From the Ocean to Outer Space: India’s Defence Revolution” authored by senior journalist Yogesh Kumar Goyal. According to Academy Secretary Sanjay Kumar Garg, the selected work will receive a financial assistance of ₹25,000 to support its publication.
The 300-page book presents a comprehensive and analytical study of India’s steadily strengthening military power, growing self-reliance in defence technology, expanding maritime strategic capabilities, and the country’s increasing role in the space domain. The book highlights how India is reinforcing its strategic autonomy from the oceans to outer space and emerging as a decisive force in the global defence landscape.
Notably, this is Yogesh Kumar Goyal’s seventh book. Previously, he has authored six significant works focusing on environmental protection, the social impact of substance abuse, wildlife conservation, and contemporary national issues. His literary contributions have received consistent recognition—one of his books has earlier received a publication grant from the Hindi Academy, Delhi, while two others were supported by the Haryana Sahitya Akademi.
With over 36 years of active engagement in literature and journalism, Goyal has published more than 14,000 articles in leading newspapers and magazines across the country. He has also served as an editor for three feature agencies for nearly 17 years. In recognition of his distinguished contributions, he has been honoured with several prestigious awards.
