A one-of-a-kind initiative, The Museum of Living History’ continues to reflect the Group’s purpose, its people and philosophy.

“The Museum of Living History has evolved to reflect the changing Mahindra business and cultural landscape, while still staying true to the Group’s philosophy and core values. The cornucopia of stories from both businesses and our people is reflective of the brand we are – a living, breathing entity in this ever-changing world.”
- Mr Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra Group
Conceptualised by design and creative consultant, Elsie Nanji, and ‘experience’ designer, Harsh Manrao. It houses specially commissioned art pieces that tell the story of Mahindra’s core values and principles, its various businesses, rich history and outlook to the future. The museum celebrates the Rise philosophy of the Mahindra Group. Stories of strive and triumph, values, ethics, and concern for community have been bought to life within it. The museum has been conceptualised as a space where people can gather to learn, share, and interact.
Key Highlights:
- A Living, Breathing Legacy
Unlike traditional museums, this is a dynamic, ever-evolving space. Nothing here is static. In recent times, the museum has added a ‘ culture wall‘ to artisitically refelct the Group’s contribution to the country’s music scene through Mahindra Season of Festivals. Another is the intrepreting of ‘Mahindra Rephrased Values‘. - The Evolution of Mahindra
The museum’s historical narrative is deeply intertwined with the story of India itself. As the nation has progressed and transformed, so has the Mahindra Group—adapting, innovating, and expanding. While the Group’s businesses have evolved over time, its core values have remained steadfast, anchoring its growth. - Where Purpose Meets Design
The museum’s architecture draws inspiration from the nautilus. The spiral form symbolising the Group’s journey of growth in scale, impact, expansion, and constant renewal. Inside, a futuristic interplay of texture and light evokes movement and progress. The space seamlessly connects 80 years of rich heritage with the present and the possibilities of the future. This one-of-a-kind initiative reflects the Group’s purpose, its people, and its vision. Purpose Meets Design forms the core of the museum. - A Museum of Stories
At its heart, the museum is a repository of stories. Each exhibit celebrates the contributions of individuals—not personalities—bringing to life the values, culture, and philosophy that define the organization. Through these narratives, visitors experience the human spirit that has shaped the Group’s journey. - A Plurality of Experiences
The museum embraces a pluralistic narrative, recognising that every visitor brings a unique perspective. Each journey through its spaces is personal, with diverse interpretations and takeaways.
