Salman Khan fans, the wait is finally over! Sikandar, the superstar's high-octane action drama, is now available to stream on Netflix. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film dropped on the platform on May 25, marking its digital debut after a theatrical run during Eid 2025.
Netflix India confirmed the news with a dramatic poster reveal and a caption that reads, “Suna hai bohot log Sikandar ka intezaar kar rahe the? Sikandar aa gaya hai Netflix par raj karne” (Heard a lot of people were waiting for Sikandar? He’s here now to rule on Netflix).
About the Film
Sikandar follows the story of Sanjay Rajkot, a fearless raja who locks horns with a corrupt politician, changing the course of his life—and the nation—in the process. The ensemble cast includes Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar.
Despite lukewarm reviews, the film crossed ₹100 crore at the Indian box office and grossed over ₹200 crore globally. Critics weren’t kind to the film’s direction or performances, but Salman’s diehard fan base turned out in large numbers. As Hindustan Times noted, “Salman still owns action scenes like a boss… but Murugadoss’ direction is so below average, it weakens even Salman’s screen presence.”
Rashmika Mandanna’s performance drew criticism as well, especially for her delivery and a controversial lip-sync to a remade Lag Jaa Gale, which sparked backlash from classic Bollywood fans.
Where to Watch
Sikandar is now streaming exclusively on Netflix.
