Jaipur, March 6, 2026: The Rajasthan Micro and Small Enterprises Facilitation Council–I held a meeting on Friday to address delayed payment disputes involving micro and small enterprises. The meeting, chaired by Industries and Commerce Commissioner Suresh Ola, heard 17 cases involving a total amount of ₹37.44 crore.
According to officials, the state government has been conducting regular meetings of MSME Facilitation Councils over the past three months to resolve pending payment disputes of micro and small enterprises. During this period, a total of 35 meetings have been held across the state.
In these meetings, 870 cases involving delayed payments worth ₹342 crore were heard, out of which 187 cases amounting to about ₹47.48 crore have been resolved, providing relief to MSMEs.
The Facilitation Council Headquarters–I alone has conducted six meetings in the last three months. During these meetings, 93 cases related to delayed payments worth ₹290.89 crore were heard.
Officials said that Rajasthan currently has 14 MSME Facilitation Councils constituted under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (MSMED) Act, 2006 to resolve delayed payment disputes.
Two of these are state-level councils. The council chaired by the Industries and Commerce Commissioner hears cases involving amounts above ₹75 lakh, while another state-level council headed by a Senior Additional Director deals with cases involving amounts between ₹25 lakh and ₹75 lakh.
For disputes involving amounts below ₹25 lakh, divisional-level facilitation councils handle the cases. Due to a higher volume of cases, Jaipur division has six councils, while other divisions have one council each.
The state government has also enabled micro and small enterprises to file delayed payment complaints through an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) portal. The digital platform provides end-to-end resolution of disputes, and once all necessary details are uploaded, the case is automatically transferred to the relevant facilitation council based on the amount involved and the location of the enterprise.
