Netflix has released the trailer of upcoming investigative thriller Kartavya, marking the acting debut of journalist Saurabh Dwivedi alongside Saif Ali Khan and Rasika Dugal.
Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the film is written and directed by Pulkit, known for Bhakshak.
The trailer showcases a gripping investigation into the murder of a journalist, exposing corruption, political pressure, and the growing influence of a powerful godman. Saif Ali Khan plays a police officer navigating a morally complex case while trying to protect his family.
The film also stars Sanjay Mishra, Zakir Hussain and Manish Chaudhari in pivotal roles.
Soon after the trailer launch, social media users reacted strongly to Saurabh Dwivedi transitioning from journalism to acting after his long stint with The Lallantop.
Netflix said Kartavya will premiere on May 15, promising a tense heartland thriller centered around duty, truth, and personal sacrifice.
