Minister of State for Forest and Environment (Independent Charge) Mr. Sanjay Sharma inaugurated the Second Basketball Sports Competition held at Oswal School, Agrasen Marg, Alwar, on the death anniversary of Mr. Pradeep Sancheti on Tuesday and encouraged the participating players.
Mr. Sharma said that sports hold a significant place in our lives. They are essential not only for physical fitness but also for mental well-being. He emphasized the vital role of teachers as architects of students’ holistic development. He further mentioned that inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Fit India Movement, Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Mr. Bhupender Yadav has provided an excellent platform for the youth of Alwar through the Alwar Sansad Khel Utsav.
Mr. Sharma urged the event organizers to ensure that all basketball players register for the Alwar Sansad Khel Utsav. Paying tribute to the late Mr. Pradeep Sancheti, he praised the Sancheti family for organizing the tournament in his memory and for providing a platform to promote basketball in Alwar. During the event, Mr. Sharma also played basketball himself to convey the message of including sports in daily life for better health and personally greeted and encouraged the players.
The event was attended by Mr. Naresh Chandra Jain (President, Jain Education Committee), Mr. Mahendra Sancheti, Mr. Narendra Sancheti, Mr. Yogesh Sancheti, school staff, participating players, and a large number of local residents.
