Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that the launch of the Chandrayaan-2, India's second mission to the Moon, illustrates the determination of the scientists and 130 crore Indians to scale new frontiers of science.
PM Modi's statement came minutes after Chandrayaan-2 was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. India has successfully launched its second lunar mission Chandrayaan-2 on board its powerful rocket GSLV-MkIII-M1 from the spaceport in Sriharikota to explore the unchartered south pole of the celestial body by landing a rover.
