The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released the findings of its Independent Drive Test (IDT) conducted across the Jaipur–Churu Highway and Sikar city, including Salasar and Reengus, during October 2025. The assessment measures the real-world quality of mobile networks, covering both voice and data services provided by all major Telecom Service Providers (TSPs).
Purpose of the Drive Test
The IDT evaluates key network performance indicators such as call setup success rate, call drops, call setup time, speech quality, data download and upload speeds, and latency. Multiple advanced test devices are deployed, with continuous monitoring and real-time analytics through specialised software systems.
The results are published to inform consumers and encourage operators to improve service quality.
Coverage of the Test
The Regional Office of TRAI in Jaipur conducted the tests through an appointed agency between 13–16 October 2025. The coverage included:
204.3 km across National Highway (Jaipur to Churu)
263.5 km of city drive
8 hotspot locations
2.5 km walk test
Locations include Govindgarh, Palsana, Bajor, Rashidpura, Fatehpur, Khotiya and Khasoli
