Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that nothing stands above mother and mother tongue. “Both nurture us in ways no one else can. Just as there are four holy dhams at a mother’s feet, in the lap of our mother tongue lies the true abode of bliss,” he remarked. Dr. Yadav emphasized that the precision of Hindi grammar is matched by the richness of its literature. “The Hindi alphabet, woven with 52 letters, is our first school—taking a child from the first letter A to wisdom with Gya.”
Addressing the Indian Mother Tongue Ceremony at Ravindra Bhavan’s Hansdhwani Auditorium on Hindi Diwas, the CM underlined that Hindi is the third most spoken language in the world after English and Mandarin. “Hindi connects our culture. Without it, our literature, emotions, and sensitivities remain incomplete,” he said.
On this occasion, 10 eminent Hindi writers from India and abroad were honored with national awards for their contribution to Hindi literature and global recognition of the language. Several literary publications were also released.
The CM was also presented the WOW Asia Gold Award for Vikramotsav 2025, organized by Maharaja Vikramaditya Research Institute, under the special category of Asia’s official ceremonies.
During the program, the campaign “Be Indian, Buy Indian – Hamari Lakshmi Hamare Paas” was launched under the Swadeshi Jagran initiative. Posters for the upcoming World Hindi Olympiad (RNtU) and Vishwarang festival were unveiled.
