Jaipur, December 13: Addressing a programme held in Bundi district on Saturday to mark the completion of two years of the state government, Minister of State for Energy (Independent Charge) and Bundi District In-charge Minister Shri Hiralal Nagar said that the government has fulfilled 75 percent of the commitments made in the Jan Ghoshna Patra (election manifesto) within just two years.
He said this is the first government in the state’s history that has not only made budgetary announcements but has also given top priority to their effective implementation on the ground.
Praising the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, Shri Nagar said that continuous monitoring has ensured that development works are being executed efficiently. At present, projects worth ₹9,000 crore are underway to ensure drinking water supply for citizens and irrigation water for farmers. He announced that by 2027, farmers in the state will receive electricity for irrigation during the daytime instead of at night. For this purpose, the state’s power infrastructure is being strengthened on a large scale, and the government is firmly committed to achieving this goal.
Development Works Worth ₹12,880 Crore in Bundi District
Highlighting key achievements of various departments over the past two years, the Energy Minister said that development works worth more than ₹12,880 crore have been completed in Bundi district, while several others are in progress.
He informed that the Public Works Department has completed major road construction and strengthening projects, including the Alod–Mendi road (₹18.30 crore), Bundi–Dalelपुरा–Alod–Mendi road (₹11.56 crore) and Gendoli–Jhaliji Ka Barana–Kalitalai–Bordamala–Kaprend road (₹16.24 crore).
In the water resources sector, works worth ₹9,416.70 crore under the first phase of the Ramjal Setu Link Project are in progress, along with significant investments in the Gendoli, Foulai and Utarana lift irrigation projects.
In the power sector, one 132 kV grid sub-station and seven 33/11 kV sub-stations have been established. Farmers have been provided ₹81,364 lakh in electricity bill subsidies, and 548 solar plants have been installed under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana.
Shri Nagar said the Public Health Engineering Department ensured ‘Har Ghar Jal’ through the Talera drinking water project (₹53.82 crore) and the Indragarh project (₹43.13 crore). The Agriculture Department extended substantial subsidies for agricultural connections, irrigation pipelines and fencing to 7,825 farmers, while the Cooperative Department provided interest-free crop loans worth ₹370.50 crore to 77,028 farmers.
In the social justice sector, 17,784 children are benefiting under the Palanhar Scheme, and 1,77,552 pensioners are receiving social security pensions. The Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department has identified 50,857 ‘Lakhpati Didis’ and completed 4,174 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural).
