Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the new Innovation and Incubation Centre at the National Institute of Design (NID) in Gandhinagar during his two-day visit to Gujarat.
The new centre has been launched to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup development among students and young designers.
Speaking at the event, Amit Shah described NID as an institution that connects creativity with entrepreneurship and said such institutes play a major role in providing youth with opportunities for innovation and professional growth.
Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal was also present during the inauguration ceremony.
Key Highlights of Amit Shah’s Gujarat Visit
Apart from inaugurating the NID Innovation and Incubation Centre, the Home Minister also:
- Inaugurated a new five-lakh-litre capacity plant of Madhur Dairy in Gandhinagar
- Opened the Million Minds Tech Park in Ahmedabad
- Inaugurated the Global Capability Centre campus
- Scheduled foundation stone laying and inauguration of multiple Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation projects
