Chennai, 18 July 2023: Ashok Leyland, the Indian flagship of the Hinduja Group and a leading supplier of logistics vehicles to the Indian Army, announced significant defence sector order wins worth INR 800 Crores. The orders include the Field Artillery Tractor (FAT 4x4) and Gun Towing Vehicle (GTV 6x6), designed for towing light and medium artillery guns, respectively.
Indigenization & Self-Reliance in Defence Manufacturing
Both the FAT 4x4 and GTV 6x6 were featured in the Government of India’s positive indigenization list, highlighting their role in strengthening domestic defence manufacturing.
