July 30: The cryptocurrency market traded largely in positive territory on Wednesday, with Bitcoin holding above the $64,000 mark and most major digital assets posting modest gains. However, weekly performance remained mixed as investors continued to assess broader market sentiment.
Bitcoin rose 0.44% to $64,173, taking its market capitalization to $1.284 trillion. Ether also advanced 0.13% to $1,910.63, extending its strong monthly gain of 18.78%.
Among leading altcoins, Avalanche emerged as the top performer, climbing 1.32%, followed by Polkadot (+0.60%), Cardano (+0.55%), Binance Coin (+0.54%), Solana (+0.35%), and XRP (+0.32%).
Despite the daily gains, several cryptocurrencies remained under pressure on a weekly basis. Cosmos declined 9.81% over the past week, while Polkadot fell 6.17%, Polygon slipped 6.06%, and Cardano lost 3.24%.
On a monthly basis, Ether continued to outperform with an 18.78% gain, while Bitcoin added 6.92%. However, most major cryptocurrencies were still trading significantly lower compared to a year ago.
