Bengaluru, March 11: A delivery executive of quick-commerce platform Blinkit has been accused of assaulting a customer and fracturing his nose during a late-night delivery dispute in Koramangala.
According to a complaint filed at the Koramangala Police Station, the incident occurred around 2 a.m. on March 7 when the customer, identified as Paul J. Vithayathil, placed an order through the Blinkit app.
Police said the delivery executive allegedly reached the wrong location. When the customer asked him to come to the correct address, an argument broke out between the two.
As per the complaint, the delivery executive later arrived at the customer’s residence, punched him in the face, threw the ordered items at the doorstep and fled the scene. The victim reportedly suffered a fractured nose and required medical treatment following the assault.
Initially, the case was registered as an NCR (Non-Cognizable Report), but it was later converted into a formal FIR by the police. Authorities have sought details of the delivery executive from Blinkit as part of the investigation.
