New Delhi, Feb 18, 2026: The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the internal restructuring of Bennett Coleman and Company Limited (BCCL), allowing the transfer of certain businesses to Times Horizon Private Limited (THPL) on a going-concern basis, according to a statement released by Press Information Bureau Delhi.
The proposed combination acknowledges BCCL’s plan to reorganize its internal structure by carving out select entities, businesses, undertakings, assets, and liabilities—collectively referred to as the EIBME business—and transferring them to THPL, along with related steps.
BCCL and its group companies operate across a diversified portfolio including print and digital news publishing, magazines, books and literary content, real estate classifieds, television broadcasting, digital products and services, radio entertainment, music and films, Brand Capital, events and conferences, lifestyle and entertainment, education and ed-tech, fintech, gaming, and advertising.
