Chairman of the Rajasthan Kisan Commission, Shri C.R. Chaudhary, interacted with farmers in Jalore on Monday and reviewed key initiatives of the Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry and allied departments.
During the interaction, Shri Chaudhary reaffirmed that the Central and State governments remain consistently committed to safeguarding farmers’ interests. He urged farmers to avail maximum benefits from the schemes being implemented for their welfare.
At the review meeting held at the Circuit House, he examined the physical and financial progress of major agriculture schemes including farm ponds, pipelines, agricultural machinery support, fencing, Govardhan Organic Fertilizer Scheme, and initiatives promoting organic and natural farming. He also sought detailed progress updates from Dr. Ramlal Jat, Joint Director, Agriculture.
Shri Chaudhary recommended expanding fruit orchard development and gave directions to streamline pomegranate marketing, ensuring farmers receive fair prices for their produce. Appreciating the district’s adoption of micro-irrigation systems, he instructed officials to intensify outreach and awareness so that a larger number of farmers can benefit from departmental schemes and contribute to advancing India’s agricultural growth.
He also stressed the need to promote farm ponds and organic farming to boost crop productivity and improve farmers’ economic conditions. Shri Chaudhary invited suggestions from stakeholders to further strengthen organic farming initiatives in the district.
