Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Sunday said that social service is a fundamental duty of human life, adding that every act of service brings positive outcomes by the grace of God. He was addressing the gathering at the third anniversary celebration of Shiv Gyan Motilal Eye Hospital, operated by the Swaminarayan Institution at Hasampura village in Ujjain district.
The Chief Minister said the hospital has been successfully providing eye care services for the past three years, restoring vision and improving the quality of life for thousands of citizens. He described doctors as the embodiment of God for patients and appreciated the hospital’s contribution to public health, especially in the field of ophthalmology.
Affordable Eye Care Through Government Health Schemes
Dr Yadav noted that the hospital is offering treatment for cataracts and other vision-related disorders with the support of Ayushman Bharat cards and other government health schemes, ensuring affordable healthcare for the underprivileged.
Highlighting national healthcare initiatives, the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Ayushman Bharat Yojana has significantly benefited citizens across the country. He also pointed out that Madhya Pradesh became the first state in India to introduce the PM Shri Air Ambulance Service, which has proved to be life-saving for critically ill patients.
Praise for Gujarat and National Leadership
Referring to Gujarat’s contributions to the nation, Dr Yadav said the state has always set benchmarks in excellence. He paid tribute to national leaders such as Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, calling them the pride of India. He also mentioned the spiritual significance of Gujarat, recalling that Lord Krishna ruled as Dwarkadhish from Dwarka and eradicated adversities from there.
Hospital Visit and Dignitaries Present
During the programme, the Chief Minister visited the hospital premises and extended best wishes on its third anniversary. Prominent dignitaries present on the occasion included Swaminarayan Sampradaya Ujjain head Anand Ji Maharaj, along with Sanjay Agrawal, Rajesh Dhakad, Ravi Solanki, other public representatives, and local citizens.
