July 28, 2026: The cryptocurrency market traded lower on Monday, with Bitcoin slipping below $63,500 and Ethereum extending losses as investors remained cautious. Most major altcoins also traded in the red, reflecting weak market sentiment.
Bitcoin fell 0.82% to $63,203, while Ethereum declined 0.67% to $1,877.75. BNB was down 0.22% at $564.8, and Solana dropped 1.23% to $73.23.
Among other major cryptocurrencies, XRP lost 0.72% to $1.057, Cardano declined 0.40% to $0.1548, and Polygon slipped 0.64%. Cosmos was the biggest weekly laggard among the top tokens, falling 12.93%, while Polkadot dropped 10.37% over the past seven days.
Despite the short-term weakness, some cryptocurrencies continued to post positive monthly gains. Uniswap surged 28.01% over the past month, Ethereum gained 16.58%, Litecoin advanced 7.46%, Cardano rose 6.32%, and Bitcoin remained 5.09% higher on a monthly basis.
On a year-to-date basis, however, the broader crypto market remained under pressure. Bitcoin was down 27.76%, Ethereum had fallen 36.74%, Solana declined 41.15%, and Cardano was lower by 53.47%.
Among stablecoins, DAI remained largely unchanged at $0.9995, maintaining price stability.
The latest price action indicates continued profit booking across the cryptocurrency market, with investors closely watching macroeconomic developments and global risk sentiment for fresh directional cues.
