Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people on the occasion of Diwali, praying for their happiness and prosperity. He interacted with citizens on Sunday during the Diwali Milan programme held at the Chief Minister’s residence.
On this occasion, CM Sharma urged people to prioritize purchasing local products during the Diwali festival, emphasizing that this would promote the ‘Vocal for Local’ initiative and boost the local economy.
Highlighting the Centre’s efforts, he said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the reduction in GST rates has provided relief in essential goods and services such as food, clothing, and housing — benefiting the common man, middle class, farmers, and small traders alike.
During the event, CM Sharma exchanged Diwali greetings warmly with citizens through the traditional “Rama-Shyama” gesture, while elders extended their blessings to him.
