The third instalment of the Drishyam franchise is entering a crucial phase of production as the film moves from Mumbai to Goa for a month-long shooting schedule beginning January 8, 2026. Adding to the buzz, Jaideep Ahlawat has officially joined the cast, marking his first appearance in the popular thriller series.
Sources close to the production say the Goa leg will run until the end of February and will cover several pivotal sequences that are central to the film’s narrative. The coastal locations are expected to introduce a fresh visual tone while deepening the suspense-driven storytelling the franchise is known for.
Ajay Devgn will reprise his role as Vijay Salgaonkar, alongside Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Rajat Kapoor, reuniting the principal cast that defined the earlier films. Jaideep Ahlawat’s inclusion is seen as a significant development, with the actor reportedly playing a key character who adds a new layer of intensity to the plot.
With filming progressing steadily, Drishyam 3 is expected to push the story into darker and more complex territory. The central question remains whether Vijay Salgaonkar will once again outsmart the system or finally face consequences for his past actions.
