Chhattisgarh marked a historic milestone in its rapidly advancing logistics sector today as the state dispatched its largest-ever export consignment — 12,000 metric tonnes of Copper Concentrate — from the Nava Raipur Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) to China.
The first shipment of 2,200 metric tonnes left on November 11 for Visakhapatnam Port, from where it will be shipped to international markets.
Developed by the Department of Industries, Government of Chhattisgarh, this state-of-the-art MMLP is redefining industrial and commercial growth in Central India. Equipped with advanced cargo-handling systems, rail connectivity, and multi-modal integration, the facility provides industries across India with efficient, safe, and rapid access to global markets.
This achievement underscores Chhattisgarh’s strategic transition — from a mining and industry-based economy to an export-driven logistics hub. With world-class infrastructure, robust connectivity, and proactive governance, the state is positioning itself as the logistics powerhouse of Central India.
The export initiative links Chhattisgarh’s mineral and industrial output directly to international trade corridors, strengthening its presence on India’s logistics and export map.
To accelerate this progress, the state government has launched the Chhattisgarh State Logistics Policy 2025, designed to make the state a leading logistics hub by 2047. The policy focuses on modern multimodal infrastructure, cost reduction, export promotion, and large-scale employment generation. It also offers attractive incentives for logistics parks, warehousing, and cold-chain projects, ensuring balanced regional development and sustainability.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai hailed the dispatch as a landmark moment:
“The launch of the state’s largest copper concentrate export from the Nava Raipur MMLP is a historic achievement. It demonstrates our commitment to developing Chhattisgarh as a logistics and industrial powerhouse.”
He further added that the Logistics Policy 2025 focuses on enhancing connectivity, attracting private investment, and creating massive employment opportunities.
“Through policy reforms, strategic infrastructure, and strong industrial confidence, Chhattisgarh is not just connecting Central India to global value chains — it is defining a new era of logistics-led growth,” he said.
