Jaipur, March 31, 2026: In a major crackdown on the misuse and black marketing of domestic LPG cylinders, the Jaipur district administration has seized 118 domestic and commercial gas cylinders, along with a vehicle and refilling equipment, as part of a coordinated citywide enforcement drive.
The action was carried out under the Rajasthan government’s ongoing campaign to ensure adequate LPG availability and uninterrupted supply for households. Acting on the directions of District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, District Supply Officer Priyavrat Singh Charan constituted three special enforcement teams to conduct simultaneous raids across multiple locations in Jaipur.
During the operation, officials seized 118 cylinders, three electronic weighing scales, two refilling devices, three refilling motors, one regulator, and one pickup vehicle. FIRs are being registered against those involved in the illegal activities.
The biggest seizure was made in the Kho-Nagoriyan police station area near Narayan City and JNU Hospital, where authorities confirmed illegal LPG refilling and confiscated 74 domestic and commercial cylinders, one weighing scale, three refilling motors, and one pickup vehicle.
Additional raids were conducted at Gaurav Bartan Bhandar and Jagga Ki Dhani on Agra Road, where 22 cylinders and one device were seized. In Bhankrota, officials recovered 8 cylinders, one weighing scale, and one device, while in Bindayaka, the team seized 14 cylinders, one scale, and one regulator with rubber pipe.
The district administration said the citywide campaign, titled “Operation Enforcement – Alert Citizens, Safe City”, will continue with strict vigilance against illegal LPG refilling and hoarding.
Officials have also appealed to residents to immediately report any suspicious LPG refilling, storage, or black marketing activity so that timely action can be taken to ensure public safety.
