Jaipur, March 16:
The Jaipur Development Authority has proposed five new land pooling schemes aimed at accelerating planned and balanced urban development in the city.
The proposal was discussed during a meeting chaired by Siddharth Mahajan, Jaipur Development Commissioner, at the JDA headquarters on Monday.
Proposed areas for land pooling
According to officials, two land pooling schemes have been proposed in Zone-14 along Mahal Road, covering villages including Ramchandrapura, Vidhani, Rampura urf Kanwarpura, Jaychandpura, and Vimalpura in the Sanganer tehsil. The proposed development in this area will cover approximately 350 hectares of land.
Additionally, one land pooling scheme each has been proposed in:
Zone-8 (Sanganer)
Zone-10 (Bassi)
Zone-12 (Kalwar)
Part of larger state initiative
The move aligns with an earlier announcement by Bhajan Lal Sharma, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, who declared in the state budget that 20 new land pooling schemes would be launched across the state.
Focus on urban infrastructure
Officials said the schemes will help ensure systematic development of public infrastructure, including:
Parks and green spaces
Sewerage and drainage systems
Water supply and electricity networks
Street lighting
Schools and educational institutions
Community centres and health facilities
Religious and social infrastructure
The proposed initiatives are expected to support Jaipur’s expanding urban population while ensuring organised infrastructure development in emerging areas of the city.
