Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that it is the firm resolve of the state government to bring new smiles every day to the lives of women in the state. “The happiness of sisters is our mission. The government is moving step by step to make women self-reliant through schemes like the Devi Ahilyabai Women Empowerment Mission and the Ladli Behna Yojana,” he said.
Dr. Yadav emphasized that the state has a sensitive government with clear policy and intent. By providing monthly incentive amounts, women are being made financially independent. “Our happiness lies in the happiness of our sisters. The development of women is the development of the entire society,” he added.
The Chief Minister was addressing the State-Level Ladli Behna Conference at Petlawad in Jhabua district on Friday. He reiterated that the government’s priority is respect, security, and empowerment of women, and benefits of all schemes are being delivered transparently and effectively.
Major Announcements and Benefits Distributed
Transferred ₹1,541 crore to 1.26 crore Ladli Behna beneficiaries as the 28th installment.
Released ₹320.89 crore to 53.48 lakh social security pensioners.
Transferred ₹48 crore to 31 lakh women beneficiaries for LPG cylinder refills.
Performed foundation laying and inauguration of development projects worth ₹345.34 crore in Petlawad.
Released a book titled “Jhabua ke Sanjeevak” focusing on tribal Ayurvedic traditions.
Distributed customized petrol-driven motorbikes to 11 specially-abled BPL beneficiaries.
He also highlighted that since the launch of the Ladli Behna Yojana, ₹41,000 crore has been transferred to women. Beneficiaries will now receive ₹1,500 per month after Bhai Dooj and gradually the amount will be increased to ₹3,000 per month.
Development and Infrastructure Boost
The CM announced multiple projects for Jhabua and nearby regions, including:
Petlawad Bus Stand with modern facilities.
Ghats and beautification works at Shrangeshwar Temple (₹6.5 crore).
55 km two-lane Rajgarh–Para–Ranapur–Pitole road.
30.80 km two-lane road from NH-47 Dattigaon Phata to Umarkot–Bolasa–Raipuria.
High-level bridge on Machaliya Mrigarundi road.
New bridge at Kadwali (Jhabua–Kalyanpura–Raipuria route).
Bridge and road works from Dhaturia (Jhabua) across the Mahi river to Labaria (Dhar).
New Nal-Jal Scheme at Para village, Rama block.
Construction of hostels worth ₹25 crore in Jhabua for tribal students.
Assurance of a new medical college in Jhabua soon.
He further stated that tribal children aspiring to become doctors and engineers will have their entire education expenses—from India to abroad—borne by the government.
Women, Farmers, and Social Welfare
Under self-help groups, 65 lakh women are associated with 5 lakh groups across the state; in Jhabua alone, 2 lakh women are benefiting.
₹320 crore has been provided to specially-abled beneficiaries.
Sandipani Schools are being established in Meghnagar and Petlawad.
Scooties and laptops have been distributed to meritorious students.
Implementation of Rahveer Yojana for accident victims, free hearse services across districts, and other sensitive initiatives.
National-Level Recognition for Local Culture
Dr. Yadav proudly noted that Jhabua’s traditional Bhagoria festival has been granted national-level recognition. He praised locals for banning DJs and preserving the dignity of traditional tribal musical instruments.
Upcoming PM Visit and PM MITRA Park
The CM announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bhainsola village, Badnawar (Dhar district) on September 17 to inaugurate the PM MITRA Park, which will transform Malwa and the entire state. On the same day, the Seva Pakhwada campaign will begin, under which free health check-ups for women will be carried out.
