HYDERABAD, INDIA – November 28, 2025 – Ravi Teja’s mass entertainer Mass Jathara will bypass cinemas and premiere directly on a major Telugu streaming service on December 12, the makers announced Thursday.
Directed by Harish Shankar, the film was originally scheduled for Sankranti 2026 but has been moved to OTT after multiple delays in post-production and unfavourable theatre availability.
Shot across Hyderabad, Bangkok, and Italy, the action-comedy features Ravi Teja in a dual role — a fiery faction leader and a happy-go-lucky dancer — with Sreeleela and Rashmika Mandanna as the female leads.
The platform reportedly paid Rs 92 crore for exclusive digital rights, making it one of the highest-valued direct-to-digital Telugu films ever. Satellite and music rights have fetched another Rs 28 crore.
Harish Shankar defended the decision: “The love for Ravi Teja garu is universal. OTT ensures every fan watches it in the best quality on day one.”
