Bhopal, March 23, 2026: In a major administrative reshuffle, Mohan Yadav ordered the removal of key officials in Guna and Sidhi following corruption allegations and public complaints.
Guna SP Removed After Hawala Controversy
Superintendent of Police Ankit Soni has been removed with immediate effect after the Guna hawala case triggered controversy.
- He has been reassigned as Assistant Inspector General (AIG) at Police Headquarters
- Hitika Vasal, currently Commandant of the 15th Battalion in Indore, has been appointed as the new SP of Guna
What is the Guna Hawala Case?
The मामला surfaced after:
- Police recovered around ₹1 crore cash from a trader’s vehicle
- Allegations emerged that ₹20 lakh was taken as a bribe to release the individual
- The रकम was reportedly returned after intervention
Following the incident:
- Four police personnel were suspended

Sidhi Collector Also Transferred After Complaints
In a parallel move, the Chief Minister ordered the removal of Sidhi Collector Swarochish Somvanshi after receiving multiple complaints from public representatives.
- He has been appointed as OSD and Deputy Commissioner in the Economics and Statistics Department
- Vikas Mishra (2013 batch) has been appointed as the new Collector of Sidhi
Mishra was previously posted in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat and has served as Collector in Dindori.
CM’s Direct Intervention After Field Visit
The action followed CM Yadav’s visit to Sidhi, where he interacted with:
