The Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Phase II is progressing at an accelerated pace, with nearly complete coverage in the ongoing enumeration exercise. As per the latest update issued at 3 PM today, the distribution of Elector-specific Enumeration Forms (EF) has reached 99.78% across the country, while digitization stands at 90.14%.
The enumeration phase, which began on 4 November, will continue until 11 December.
Lakshadweep, Goa, and Rajasthan lead the list with exceptional progress. Lakshadweep has achieved 100% distribution and 100% digitization, with Goa and Rajasthan close behind.
Among large states, West Bengal (97.34%), Rajasthan (98.54%), and Madhya Pradesh (95.69%) have recorded high digitization levels. Uttar Pradesh, the country’s largest state, has completed 99.83% EF distribution and 79.03% digitization.
The bulletin also noted that data from Rajasthan’s Anta Assembly Constituency has been excluded due to the ongoing by-election.
The Commission said the near-saturation levels reflect strong field-level coordination by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and Booth Level Agents (BLAs) as the nationwide effort moves into its final phase.
