Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said the Economic Survey presented in Parliament reflects the steady progress of India’s fast-moving “Reform Express” despite global headwinds.
In a social media post, the Prime Minister said the Survey showcases how reforms are advancing with consistency and purpose, underpinned by strong economic foundations. He noted that sustained reforms over the years have strengthened the economy and boosted confidence among investors, businesses and citizens.
Mr Modi said the Survey highlights robust macroeconomic fundamentals, sustained growth momentum, and the expanding role of innovation, entrepreneurship and infrastructure in nation-building. He emphasised the focus on inclusive development, with targeted attention on farmers, MSMEs, youth employment and social welfare.
The Prime Minister pointed to digital expansion, a growing startup ecosystem and large-scale infrastructure projects as key drivers of economic transformation. Referring to the roadmap outlined in the Survey, he said it provides clear direction for strengthening manufacturing, improving productivity and accelerating India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to reforms that support industrial growth, skill development and technological advancement, Mr Modi said the insights from the Economic Survey will help shape informed policies and reinforce confidence in India’s economic future. He asserted that the government will continue to work with determination to sustain growth momentum and build a resilient economy.
