NEW DELHI, 11th May 2025: On the occasion of Mother’s Day, Project Amarjeet today announced the distribution of five lakh pellets across one thousand tins to shooters and shooting ranges across India who need them for training. 500 tins have been contributed personally by Gagan Narang and 500 tins by Annu Raj Singh from each founder, in the name of every mother who drove to a range before the sun came up, who believed before there was any evidence to believe in, and who gave without keeping score.
The pellets are being provided by Project Amarjeet’s first charity partner, Charrey.in, which is building the largest airgun pellet distribution community platform in India and making pellets which is the basic need of every shooter. Charrey.in has supplied all five lakh pellets to Project Amarjeet at cost, ensuring that every rupee raised reaches as many shooters as possible. Charrey.in has additionally created a customised donation link for Project Amarjeet through which anyone can contribute directly toward the training of a shooting sport athlete in India.
Speaking about the initiative, Gagan Narang said: “My mother’s name was Amarjeet. She woke up before I did every morning. She packed my bag. She drove me to the range and waited without complaint. She never asked what she would get back. She just showed up. Five lakh pellets. Five lakh shots that would not have happened otherwise. This is us doing the same in her name, and in the name of every mother who showed up for a child who loved this sport.”
Annu Raj Singh said: “A shortage of pellets should never be the reason a young shooter cannot train today. Talent is everywhere in this country. What is not everywhere is access. Five lakh pellets going to the people who need them most, that is access. That is what Project Amarjeet is about.”
