Deputy Chief Minister and Kawardha MLA Shri Vijay Sharma continues to work actively for the all-round development of Kawardha Assembly constituency. During his Kabirdham visit today, he performed the Bhumi Pujan of road, drainage, and bridge–culvert construction works worth ₹1 crore 98 lakh 91 thousand in villages Sari and Chandaini under Sahaspur Lohara development block.
On his arrival, villagers welcomed the Deputy Chief Minister with traditional Raut Nacha and Danda Nritya, expressing enthusiasm and warmth.
Major Development Works Launched
Village Sari:
Shri Sharma performed Bhumi Pujan for the construction of a 1.5 km road from Khadoda to Sari, including culverts, at a cost of ₹1 crore 65 lakh 59 thousand.
Village Chandaini:
Under the Gram Gauravpath Yojana, a CC road with drainage will be constructed at a cost of ₹33 lakh 32 thousand.
Once completed, these projects will significantly improve local connectivity, drainage systems, access to education, healthcare, and essential services, and accelerate the socio-economic development of the region.
Government Committed to Last-Mile Development
Addressing the villagers, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that the comprehensive development of Kawardha Assembly is his top priority. He emphasized that the state government is committed to ensuring that essential infrastructure—roads, bridges, drainage, drinking water, electricity, education, and health facilities—reaches every village.
He also highlighted that through the Mukhyamantri Gauravpath Yojana, rural areas are being efficiently connected to main roads, paving the way for long-term growth and prosperity.
Shri Sharma instructed officials to ensure that all construction works are completed within the stipulated time frame and with strict adherence to quality standards, so that local residents can start benefiting at the earliest.
Interaction With Villagers
After the ceremony, the Deputy Chief Minister interacted with villagers in a warm and approachable manner, sitting with them on the ground and reviewing the progress of developmental works. He patiently heard their issues, needs, and expectations, and directed officials to take immediate action wherever necessary.
