Raipur, April 23, 2026: The administration in Sakti district has intensified its कार्रवाई against illegal mining activities, leading to the seizure of a large quantity of illegally stored sand.
Acting under the directions of the district collector, a team from the revenue department conducted a raid in Lalmati village under Hasaud tehsil. During the inspection, officials found approximately 40 to 50 tractor-trolley trips of sand stored illegally.
The seized sand has been taken into custody and handed over to the village kotwar. Authorities have initiated further कार्रवाई against those involved in the illegal storage.
District officials stated that strict monitoring is being carried out to curb illegal extraction, transportation, and storage of minerals. They emphasized that any negligence in such matters will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken against violators.
The collector has directed officials to carry out regular inspections and ensure prompt action on receiving complaints. The administration has also urged citizens to report any illegal mining activities to the authorities for timely intervention.
