On the occasion of Birsa Munda Jayanti, Agriculture Minister Ram Vichar Netam inaugurated the Rural Self-Employment Training Institute (RSETI), Sangwari Gender Resource Centre (GRC) and Community-Managed Training Centre (CMCT) in Balrampur.
The minister inspected training rooms, residential facilities, dining area and kitchen, and reviewed ongoing activities in detail.
RSETI: Free Residential Skill Training With Bank Linkage for Livelihood
Minister Netam said the RSETI, operated by Central Bank of India, will provide skill-based and vocational training to unemployed youth and women from economically weaker backgrounds.
After training, beneficiaries will be linked with banks to support self-employment and income generation.
60+ training programmes offered include:
Beauty parlour
Fast food making
Tailoring
Poultry farming
Beekeeping
Mushroom cultivation
All training will be completely free and fully residential for women trainees.
GRC: Focus on Gender Awareness, Health & Safety
The Sangwari Gender Resource Centre will work with the Women & Child Development Department, Health Department and Police to address:
Gender discrimination
Health & nutrition awareness
Domestic violence
Women’s safety and support services
It aims to empower SHG women under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM).
CMCT: Capacity Building Under NRLM
The Community-Managed Training Centre (CMCT) will host various residential training programmes under NRLM.
It will be operated by the Cluster-Level Organization and will conduct capacity-building sessions for SHG women and community members.
Certificate Distribution
At the end of the event, Minister Netam distributed certificates to 10 selected trainees, including those trained in masonry, “Bima Sakhi” and other skill programmes.
He urged youth and women to join the training ecosystem and use the acquired skills to expand their livelihoods.
