Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the 127th episode of his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’, addressed the nation highlighting India’s festive unity, cultural heritage, and environmental consciousness.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma joined the broadcast from the Indoor Hall of Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur, and shared that under the ‘Hariyalo Rajasthan’ mega plantation drive, over 11.61 crore trees have been planted across the state, boosting green cover and biodiversity.
PM Modi called upon citizens to actively support the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ (One Tree in Mother’s Name) campaign, emphasizing that every citizen should plant trees wherever they live. He praised Ambikapur’s Garbage Café and Bengaluru engineer Kapil Sharma for their innovative contributions to cleanliness and environmental protection.
Touching upon the festive season, Modi said markets across India are filled with vibrant celebrations, faith, and tradition, with an increase in the purchase of swadeshi (Made in India) products. He urged people to participate in the ‘Run for Unity’ on October 31, marking Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s 150th birth anniversary.
PM Modi also highlighted that November 7 will mark 150 years of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’, calling it a moment of emotional pride and urging citizens to keep this cultural legacy alive for future generations.
Discussing the revival of Sanskrit, the Prime Minister said social media and youth-led initiatives have infused new energy into the ancient language that once carried India’s civilizational values across millennia.
Meanwhile, CM Bhajanlal Sharma announced that over 91,000 youth have secured government jobs in Rajasthan, while recruitment for 1.55 lakh more positions is underway. The state has also approved ₹140 crore in loans for young entrepreneurs to promote self-employment.
“Today’s youth doesn’t just seek jobs—they create them. This mindset shift marks the first step toward transformation,” the Chief Minister said.
The event was attended by Union Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore, Minister of State K.K. Vishnoi, MP Madan Rathore, MLA Jitendra Gothwal, and senior officials including Sports and Youth Affairs Secretary Neeraj K. Pawan.
