Jaipur/New Delhi, 29 June 2026: Rajasthan Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar presented the state's healthcare achievements and policy recommendations at the 16th Central Council of Health and Family Welfare (CCHFW) meeting held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on Monday.
Addressing the conference, Khimsar said Rajasthan remains committed to providing accessible, affordable and quality healthcare. He highlighted the state's progress under the National Health Mission (NHM), including improvements in maternal and child health, institutional deliveries, immunisation coverage, Ayushman Arogya Mandirs and community participation through ASHA workers.
The minister said the Mukhyamantri Ayushman Arogya (MAA) Yojana provides cashless treatment of up to ₹25 lakh for eligible beneficiaries. He also noted that over 7.22 crore ABHA accounts have been created under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), with government and most private healthcare facilities integrated into the digital health ecosystem.
Khimsar highlighted several Rajasthan initiatives, including the Ramashray Elderly Care Model, Mission Madhuhari, 6,547 TB-free Gram Panchayats, the WHO-recognised tobacco control initiative (2026), Maa Netra Voucher Yojana, FCM Pink Fortnight, and more than 4.5 lakh free sonography services under the Maa Voucher Yojana.
The minister also urged greater focus on strengthening primary healthcare, expanding services for non-communicable diseases and mental health, promoting digital healthcare, and improving training, deployment and career opportunities for allied health professionals. He further called for continued support to free medicines, diagnostic services and financial protection schemes to reduce out-of-pocket healthcare expenditure for citizens.
