Around 10,000 special guests from across the country have been invited to witness the 77th Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path, New Delhi, on January 26, 2026, as part of the Government of India’s continued emphasis on citizen participation in national celebrations.
According to an official release, these invitees represent a wide cross-section of society and include individuals and groups who have made exemplary contributions to income generation, employment creation, innovation, research, social inclusion, governance and nation-building. The initiative aims to recognise grassroots contributors and bring them to the forefront of a nationally significant event.
The special invitees include winners of the World Para Athletics Championships, natural farming practitioners, and top-performing farmers supported under missions for pulses, oilseeds and maize self-reliance. Beneficiaries rehabilitated under the PM SMILE scheme, beneficiaries of the Dhartii Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, and trained Maitri livestock technicians have also been invited.
Representatives from strategic and emerging sectors form a significant part of the guest list. This includes scientists and technical experts associated with ISRO missions such as Gaganyaan and Chandrayaan, researchers under the Deep Ocean Mission, innovators in isotope production, and leaders of companies supported under the National Green Hydrogen Mission (SIGHT Programme). DRDO scientists, Semicon India startups, and biotech entrepreneurs supported under the BioE3 Policy will also be present.
Students from Atal Tinkering Labs, winners of international sports competitions, Veer Gatha Project awardees, and National School Band Competition winners have been invited to celebrate youth excellence and innovation. The guest list further includes women entrepreneurs, MSMEs funded under Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiatives, beneficiaries of PM MUDRA, PM SVANidhi street vendors, Jan Aushadhi Kendra operators, and GST 2.0 best-performing traders.
