Madhya Pradesh marked its 77th Republic Day with a strong development-focused message as Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav unfurled the national flag on the banks of the Shipra River at Kartik Mela Ground, Ujjain, and outlined key outcomes achieved by the state across governance, infrastructure, energy, agriculture and social sectors.
The Chief Minister took the parade salute, honoured freedom fighters and protectors of democracy, and addressed citizens from across the state, emphasising that Madhya Pradesh has laid a firm foundation of good governance, security and self-reliance.
Key Outcomes Announced by the Chief Minister

Agriculture and Farmer Welfare
Dr Yadav said agriculture remains the backbone of the state’s economy. The agriculture and allied sectors budget has increased from ₹600 crore in 2002–03 to over ₹27,050 crore in 2024–25. Wheat was procured at ₹2,600 per quintal, with ₹1,360 crore paid as bonus, while over 7 lakh soybean farmers received nearly ₹1,300 crore under the Bhavantar scheme. The state is also positioning itself as India’s future milk capital, with enhanced support for gaushalas.
Industry, Jobs and Global Outreach
Calling industries “temples of employment,” the Chief Minister highlighted that one-third of investment proposals from the Global Investors Summit have already moved to implementation. Reforms under the Jan Vishwas Act 2024–25, MSME policies and the single-window system have enabled over 2,300 industrial units to receive more than ₹742 crore in assistance. Madhya Pradesh’s participation in the World Economic Forum in Switzerland further strengthened global investor confidence.
Social Development and Youth Empowerment
Over 11 lakh houses were approved under the PM Awas Yojana last year, with more than 4 lakh already completed. Scholarships worth ₹2,500 crore were provided to 50 lakh students in two years, including SC, ST and OBC beneficiaries. Youth from the state are now working in Japan and other countries, showcasing Madhya Pradesh’s growing global talent footprint.
