Kota, April 22, 2026: Rajasthan State Gas Limited (RSGL) has developed extensive infrastructure in Kota to connect nearly 70,000 households with Domestic Piped Natural Gas (DPNG) services, marking a significant step toward clean and sustainable urban energy distribution.
During a review meeting, Kota District Collector Piyush Samariya directed that in all areas where pipeline infrastructure has been developed, priority should be given to the rapid rollout of DPNG connections. He emphasized that the state government is actively working toward declaring colonies as LPG-free zones, promoting a shift toward safer, more reliable, and environmentally friendly gas supply systems.
He also instructed RSGL to organize awareness camps in residential colonies to accelerate consumer adoption of DPNG connections and to expand coverage across industrial zones. The Collector further sought a comprehensive implementation plan for extending PNG and CNG infrastructure across Kota.
RSGL Managing Director Vinay Patni briefed the administration on ongoing infrastructure development, including pipeline expansion and the establishment of CNG stations across the city. He highlighted that the initiative aims to reduce dependency on LPG cylinders and promote 24x7 uninterrupted, cost-effective, and safe domestic gas supply through pipeline connectivity.
According to RSGL, the city’s network is now capable of serving approximately 70,000 households, while efforts are also underway to connect commercial establishments such as industries, hotels, restaurants, hostels, and roadside eateries to the DPNG system.
