Bhopal, April 10: In a major boost to homoeopathy-led scientific research, a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between AIIMS Bhopal, the Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Bhopal, and the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), New Delhi for collaborative research on complex diabetes treatment.
The agreement was signed during the World Homoeopathy Day programme organised by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, in the presence of Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for AYUSH Prataprao Jadhav and AYUSH Secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha. The event also featured discussions on the growing global impact of homoeopathy.
The MoU marks a significant achievement for Madhya Pradesh’s AYUSH department and is expected to open new avenues for high-level scientific and clinical research in the state.
Under the agreement, the three institutions will jointly undertake detailed research on the effectiveness of homoeopathic medicines in treating foot ulcers caused by multidrug-resistant diabetes mellitus.
The proposed study is particularly significant in the context of the global challenge of increasing antimicrobial resistance, especially where conventional antibiotics are becoming less effective due to rising resistance among pathogens.
