The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) registered 2.31 billion Aadhaar authentication transactions in November 2025, marking an 8.47% increase compared to the same month last year. This is the highest monthly volume recorded so far in the current financial year, surpassing October’s 2.195 billion transactions. The sustained growth reflects Aadhaar’s expanding role in enabling seamless public service delivery and digital service adoption across the country.
Aadhaar-based face authentication solutions also continued to show strong momentum. Nearly 60% of all Digital Life Certificates generated by pensioners in November used Aadhaar face authentication. UIDAI’s AI-driven face authentication solution, available on both Android and iOS, enables users to verify their identity through a single facial scan—offering ease of use while adhering to stringent security standards. Overall, 282.9 million face authentication transactions were recorded in November 2025, compared to 120.4 million during the same period in 2024.
E-KYC usage also saw a notable surge. UIDAI logged 471.9 million e-KYC transactions in November, reflecting a year-on-year increase of more than 24%. The Aadhaar e-KYC service continues to play a catalytic role in improving customer experience and enhancing ease of doing business across sectors, including banking and non-banking financial services.
