U.S. markets witnessed sharp movements in select small-cap stocks on March 6, 2026, with several companies recording significant gains while others posted steep declines. Trading activity also remained concentrated in major exchange-traded funds and large-cap technology stocks.
Among the top gainers, Peraso Inc. (PRSO) emerged as the biggest advancer of the session, surging 151.54%, marking one of the strongest single-day performances among actively tracked stocks. The rally placed the company at the top of the “Most Advanced” list for the day.
Decent Holding Inc. (DXST) followed with an 83.60% jump, while Edesa Biotech Inc. (EDSA) gained 80.61%. Shares of Mobix Labs Inc. (MOBXW) also climbed 80.35%, and Cre8 Enterprise Limited (CRE) advanced 72.90%, rounding out the top five performers.
On the downside, Calidi Biotherapeutics Inc. (CLDI) recorded the steepest decline, plunging 52.24% during the session. Aeva Technologies Inc. (AEVAW) dropped 50.94%, while Elong Power Holding Limited (ELPW) fell 43.89%. Shares of Medicus Pharma Ltd. (MDCXW and MDCX) also experienced significant losses of 43.59% and 42.87%, respectively.
Trading activity remained particularly high among small-cap stocks by share volume. Decent Holding Inc. (DXST) led the list with over 590 million shares traded, followed by Peraso Inc. (PRSO) with more than 354 million shares, and Mobix Labs Inc. (MOBX) with roughly 280 million shares changing hands. Trio Petroleum Corp. (TPET) and Blue Hat Interactive Entertainment Technology (BHAT) were also among the most actively traded stocks.
In terms of dollar trading volume, major exchange-traded funds dominated activity. The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY) topped the list despite declining 1.27%, followed by the Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ), which tracks the Nasdaq-100 index and fell 1.50% during the session.
Among large-cap technology stocks, NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA) declined 2.97%, while Tesla Inc. (TSLA) dropped 2.17%. Semiconductor giant Broadcom Inc. (AVGO) also slipped 0.69%, reflecting broader pressure across technology shares.
