Shri V. Srinivas, the newly appointed Chief Secretary of Rajasthan, formally assumed office on Monday at the State Secretariat. Outgoing Chief Secretary Shri Sudhansh Pant handed over the charge and extended his best wishes. Before the ceremony, both officials offered prayers at the Ganesh Temple located at the entrance of the main Secretariat building.
The Rajasthan IAS Officers’ Association welcomed Shri Srinivas and bid an emotional farewell to Shri Pant. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas said that his administrative journey began in Rajasthan, and he was pleased to return to his “karmabhoomi” after many years. He affirmed his commitment to strengthening good governance, transparency, and accountability across the state administration.
Shri Srinivas emphasised that all departments will work collectively to realise Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma’s vision of “Viksit Rajasthan @ 2047.” He highlighted Rajasthan’s major strides in technology-driven governance, noting that the use of data analytics and artificial intelligence has significantly enhanced transparency in public service delivery.
He further said that the state aims to accelerate ongoing efforts to involve farmers, workers, women, and youth in development, with the goal of expanding Rajasthan’s economy to USD 4.3 trillion by 2047.
Reinforcing the vision of “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance,” the Chief Secretary assured effective implementation of public welfare schemes. He also stressed the government’s focus on attracting large-scale investments and positioning Rajasthan among India’s leading states in growth and innovation.
