Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Vidisha district has long been a cradle of nationalist ideology and the karmabhoomi of eminent leaders like Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia, former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and former Union Minister Late Sushma Swaraj. Today, this region is contributing significantly to agriculture, industry and trade. Ganjbasoda is moving steadily from heritage to development.
Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is committed to the welfare of farmers, the poor, women, and youth. Inspired by the ethos of Sanatan Dharma—Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah, Sarve Santu Niramayah and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—the government is working with full dedication to ensure that the benefits of development reach the last person in society.
The Chief Minister was addressing a public programme in Ganjbasoda, Vidisha district, where he inaugurated the newly constructed civil hospital along with several other development projects. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Minister of State for Animal Husbandry & Dairy (Independent Charge) Lakhan Patel were also present.
Dr. Yadav announced the opening of a new college in Tyonda, the declaration of Gyaraspur as a Nagar Panchayat, expansion of Ganjbasoda Municipal Council limits, and the establishment of nursing and paramedical colleges in Ganjbasoda. The programme began with the traditional Kanya Poojan.

Under the river-linking project, efforts are underway to expand irrigation and deliver water to every field. Through the Bhavantar scheme, soybean farmers are receiving fair prices directly in their bank accounts. Wheat procurement will also be done at ₹2,600 per quintal.
For women’s empowerment, the Ladli Behna Yojana monthly payment has been increased to ₹1,500. Under the Nari Shaktikaran Yojana, financial incentives are being provided to industries employing women to ensure they earn at least ₹5,000 per month.
