New Delhi, 09 June 2025: Deakin University, Australia, in collaboration with O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), has opened applications for its Global B.Com. (Hons.) + B. Business + MBA (International) integrated program – a pioneering initiative in India that awards two undergraduate degrees and one postgraduate degree through the expertise of two globally renowned universities.
Offered under the Jindal and Deakin Education (JADE) Partnership, established in 2021, this program features a 2+1+1.5 structure that saves time and cost for students. Students will begin their academic journey at JGU’s School of Banking and Finance with two years of Global B.Com. (Hons.), proceed to the third year of Deakin University’s B. Business program, and have the option to complete a 1.5-year MBA (International) at Deakin University.
The program is coordinated via Deakin’s South Asia office in New Delhi and JGU’s Sonipat campus, providing students with international exposure, industry-relevant curriculum, skill-based learning, global research, and work opportunities. Graduates will also be eligible for post-study work rights in Australia after 2.5 years.
Speaking at the virtual open house on 8 June, Professor Colin Higgins, Associate Dean, Deakin University, said:
"This partnership sets a benchmark for truly engaging transnational education. Indian students will benefit from Deakin’s internationally accredited programs and our strong India-Australia ties spanning nearly three decades."
Professor (Dr) Ashish Bharadwaj, Dean, Jindal School of Banking and Finance, added:
"Global B.Com. (Hons.) is tailored to meet the post-pandemic needs of evolving businesses. Students will gain two sought-after undergraduate degrees and an MBA (International), preparing them as future leaders with advanced international skills and intercultural understanding."
