Union Home Minister Amit Shah visited Lok Nayak Hospital on Monday evening to review the situation following the explosion near Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi. During his visit, he held a high-level meeting with Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha and other senior officers to assess the situation, monitor medical response, and discuss the status of the ongoing investigation.
Officials briefed the Home Minister about the casualties and emergency measures taken to assist those injured. Shah instructed authorities to ensure timely medical care for all victims and directed that real-time updates be maintained as rescue and forensic teams continue their work.
Investigation and Security Measures Intensified
The blast site near Red Fort Metro Station has been completely secured, and a detailed investigation is underway. Teams from the National Security Guard (NSG), National Investigation Agency (NIA), and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) have been deployed to collect samples and examine the cause of the explosion.
Law enforcement agencies are also analyzing CCTV footage from nearby areas to trace the vehicle reportedly linked to the blast. Early information suggests multiple injuries and vehicle damage, though the situation remains under control with security forces and emergency responders on site.
