As part of the Vikas Rath Yatra being conducted to mark the completion of two years of the State Government, the Sangod Assembly constituency witnessed extensive outreach activities on Monday across several villages. Energy Minister Shri Hiralal Nagar accompanied the Vikas Rath during village visits and inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development works worth over ₹23.32 crore, delivering multiple public welfare initiatives to the rural population.
Through LED displays installed on the Vikas Rath, villagers were informed about the key achievements of the State Government over the past two years.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Nagar stated that, with the support of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the Sangod Assembly constituency has received a major allocation of ₹35 crore for farm road connectivity. This initiative will help fulfil the commitment of providing road access to every agricultural field, addressing a long-standing demand of rural communities. He emphasized that the expanding road network will enhance overall connectivity, facilitate smoother transportation of agricultural produce from fields to markets, and boost rural economic activity.
The Energy Minister noted that over the past two years, the State Government has undertaken substantial development work across education, healthcare, roads, water supply, and electricity, ensuring balanced and inclusive growth.
During the event, Shri Nagar inaugurated the following works:
JJY strengthening works in Village Bargu
Reconstruction of the culvert between Village Kuradi and Bargu
Reconstruction of the damaged road from Village Bhandaheda to Hanotia Meghwal Basti
Construction of a culvert between Village Suhana and Bhandaheda
Inauguration of a 500-metric-ton capacity warehouse at the Village Service Cooperative Society, Bhandaran Choma Kot
He also unveiled foundation plaques for:
Construction of the Polai–Karadiya Bargu missing link road at a cost of ₹1.94 crore
Hanotia–Railgaon Bhandaheda missing link road costing ₹1.45 crore
Choma Malyan to Hanuman Temple approach road with an outlay of ₹1.86 crore
Additionally, the Energy Minister laid foundation stones for multiple development projects, including:
Road construction from Polai Kala to Godalyaheri (₹4.05 crore)
Solar single-phase motor pump set with tubewell in Polai Kalan (₹12 lakh)
GSB gravel road from Polai Kalan to Nohti Mataji (₹64 lakh)
Proposed road from Polai Khurd to Devpura (₹2.10 crore)
Proposed road from Ballabhpura to Railgaon (₹5.90 crore)
Proposed road from Bhandaheda to Nachan Bawdi (₹1.65 crore)
GSB gravel road from Suhana to Bambuli (₹81 lakh)
Repair and renovation of Suhana village pond (₹43 lakh)
Construction of a Sub-Health Centre building in Village Janakpur (₹55 lakh)
These projects are expected to significantly strengthen rural infrastructure, improve public services, and accelerate socio-economic development across the Sangod Assembly constituency.
