Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Monday reviewed preparations for the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet 2026 (GRAM), emphasising that the event will strengthen the state’s agricultural economy while boosting farmers’ income through innovation and modern technology.
Chairing a meeting at the Chief Minister’s Office, Sharma said the state government is making continuous efforts to enhance agricultural productivity and promote smart farming. He underlined the goal of enabling Rajasthan’s farmers to adopt advanced technologies and emerge as leaders in agricultural exports.
The Chief Minister said GRAM 2026 is being organised to create new opportunities in the agriculture sector through innovation, modern techniques, and investment promotion. He noted that farmers and experts from India and abroad will participate, allowing local farmers to benefit from global best practices and shared experiences.
Multi-department coordination stressed
Sharma directed officials to ensure close coordination among departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Dairy, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Cooperation, and Irrigation. He instructed that a dedicated departmental cluster be formed and that preparations be reviewed at the secretary level. Farmers who have delivered outstanding performance in agriculture will also be honoured during the event, with farmer needs given top priority across all activities.
Over 50,000 farmers expected
The Chief Minister said the three-day state-level event is expected to see participation from more than 50,000 farmers. He added that the meet will provide Rajasthan’s agricultural strengths with an international platform, while promoting research, innovation, agri-entrepreneurship, food processing, and agricultural marketing.
