Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Monday reviewed preparations for the Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (GRAM) 2026, stating that the event will play a key role in strengthening the state’s agricultural economy while increasing farmers’ income through innovation and modern technology.
Chairing a review meeting at the Chief Minister’s Office, Sharma said the state government is continuously working to improve agricultural productivity and promote smart farming practices. He emphasised that Rajasthan aims to emerge as a leader in agricultural exports by adopting advanced technologies and innovation-driven farming models.
The Chief Minister said GRAM 2026 is being organised with the objective of encouraging innovation, investment, and knowledge exchange in the agriculture sector. Farmers and experts from India and abroad will participate, enabling local farmers to benefit from global best practices, advanced techniques, and practical experiences.
Multi-department coordination for successful event
Sharma directed officials to ensure close coordination among departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, Dairy, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Cooperation, and Irrigation. He instructed that a dedicated departmental cluster be formed for effective implementation, with regular reviews at the secretary level. Outstanding farmers will also be honoured during the event, with farmer-centric needs given top priority across all activities.
Over 50,000 farmers expected to participate
The Chief Minister said the proposed three-day state-level event will see participation from over 50,000 farmers. He noted that the meet will provide Rajasthan’s agricultural capabilities with an international platform, while promoting research, innovation, agri-entrepreneurship, food processing, and agricultural marketing.
Officials were also directed to ensure wide publicity, particularly at the grassroots level, so that farmers across rural areas are well informed about the event and related government schemes.
Technology, innovation and global knowledge exchange
The Agritech Meet will feature agriculture and livestock exhibitions, B2G and B2B meetings, farmer–scientist interactions, buyer–seller meets, and multiple technical sessions and workshops. Key focus areas will include advanced farming technologies, drone applications in agriculture, modern farm machinery, water management, crop diversification, and agricultural exports.
